5 stars. Heidi's thoughtful and intelligent comments were quite valuable in identifying possible problem areas while providing encouragement at the same time. Particularly useful were her declarations of what works and what needs to be punched up or expanded. I am not making all the changes she suggested, but I gave each one careful consideration because I respect her thinking process and her stated reasons. She is my current favorite in Starr's wonderful stable of beta readers.

5 stars. Jennifer did an amazing job beta reading my YA novel. I can't say this emphatically enough. By providing comments as she read, I learned the real-time reactions a reader had to the story, and it immediately shed light on all the areas that need improvement or clarification. She was positive and encouraging and quick to point out what she liked about it. I feel so excited to go back over my draft and incorporate her thoughts. I was also impressed she caught tiny details that I didn't even think of. Thank you so much, Jennifer!

5 stars. Very good feedback. I got to read many of the things through her comments that I have been working to eliminate. Number one of which was the excessive technical data. I love the science and feel I am writing to that audience subconsciously. Anne-Marie and the other beta reads made me realize how much of a turn off that is. I plan to cut to cut it down down significantly. An interesting thing about the 3 betas reads and in particular this one from Anne-Marie is that the rewrite makes me feel that I am weaving the pieces together now. The creative part of writing the plot points is done. I have the entire story, now getting it weaved together, tight and readable is the task. The feedback was invaluable for me to make a commercial book for a general audience. Not an audience of scientists and engineers, hard for me to let that part go. In part, because it was the essence of my motivation for writing a book about a real landing, and the real risks tied to the technology to make it happen. This was productive feedback. I am glad I had her review my book.
—Dan Hurley, author of Mars Polar

Five stars all the way. I’ve gone over the feedback from Christina, and I have to say that it was far beyond what I expected in terms of how much she liked it (yay!) and how well thought out her feedback was. She was incredibly helpful. As someone who has never used a beta reader, I was a bit nervous. But Christina was thorough and insightful and knowledgeable and very fast!  My manuscript is better with her advice. I’m so glad I went ahead with using Quiethouse!
—Amy Hughes, author of The Wilds

I'd give her a solid 5 stars for beta feedback. Seriously, honesty is the best policy, and receiving her feedback only shows that it is better to go through a service than through someone you know.
--Mia Kayla, author of The Scheme

5 stars. Excellent, particularly in regards to characterization. Perceptive, identified crucial areas where fine adjustment is needed. Great feel for pacing and flow.
--Kim Zimring, author of To the Death

5 stars. Christina is a wonderful beta reader, and her candid feedback on my manuscript was invaluable. She has a great sense of humor, and this is always helpful for me! She commented on items she enjoyed, as well as areas I might consider revising. The solid information she provided helped me determine if the story I had written was true to the one I had hoped to convey. To have a successful book, the reader must develop emotional attachments to our characters and the storyline must be compelling. Christina allowed me to see where my novel succeeded but also addressed other items I might want to change to give my story or characters more depth. I highly recommend hiring Christina to evaluate your manuscript. She will provide you with insightful feedback and suggestions that will improve your book.
--C. Biskamp, author of Trammel

5 stars. I submitted only the first three chapters of my very first attempt at writing a book. This is my memoir. Christina did an outstanding job of answering my questions. I wanted to know if my story was at all compelling and she gave me much encouragement in that area. I also wanted to know about my writing style. Christina was very helpful to me by giving me a very honest assessment of this question and gave me several great ideas as to how I can improve. She was also great at letting me know the parts of these first chapters that flowed very well and which parts seemed jumpy.
—Don Tomlinson, author of There Must Be Something Wrong With You

5 stars. Christina gave detailed feedback in the body of my work as well as giving me several thoughtful comments on the questionnaire. She helped me to understand what people would love about my novel and areas that I could continue to develop.
—Wendy Million, author of Across the Realms

5 stars. Great job! All suggested text changes/issues were right on the money. The responses to the detailed beta reader form were extensive, not short answers. The reader provided a lot of insight about my story, what worked and why it did. And where it didn't work suggested changes or areas to clean up.

—Beau Derque, author of Cheddar the Cat

4 stars. I was very pleased with the work Jesse did. It was exactly what I had hoped for when looking for a beta reader. It was not a rough edit or a thorough summary, nor should it have been. She read the novel and critiqued it based upon character development, voice, narrative arc, style, and flow. For the price of beta reading, what more could one expect? I was very happy with her comments and suggestions. She was able to pick up, with amazing accuracy, subtle foreshadowing early in the manuscript—most encouraging. One highlight for me arose in her comment of the title of the book. She suggested that perhaps I consider a title based upon The Boy Who Cried Wolf, a metaphor subtly eluded to a few times throughout the novel. What she could never have known is that until only a few weeks before I submitted They Flutter Behind You, the title of the book had been The Boy Who Never Cried Wolf. And now I have to rethink the title. Very well done, Jesse. Thank you very much.
—Brian Douglas, author of They Flutter Behind You

4 stars. I think Justin did a good job giving me feedback that I needed. I found myself agreeing with a lot of what he said that I didn't think about enough (certain characters, lack of descriptions, names, etc). Where she went above and beyond was in the time she took time to consider her thoughts before providing them. She left notes and page numbers so I would know exactly what page to find the errors I had made on. That helped me greatly so I wouldn't have to go searching for the errors. It saved me time by knowing exactly where the errors were. She pointed out flaws but in a nice way, and I really appreciated it. She beta read my first novel and had done such a great job that I requested her for my second novel as well.

She even left me her e-mail address so I could contact her with any questions or to keep in touch, and I have contacted her on a few occasions. I thought that was wonderful of her to provide me with her e-mail address when she didn't have to. I am so glad she did. When I do contact her she's always pleasant and responds back right away. She also left me a very nice quote that I could use for my novels or social media. I have used that quote over and over, and I don't know what I would have done without it. I can't stop saying enough good things about her. I will definitely ask for her when I need my third novel beta read.
