5 stars. Christina was very thorough and offered excellent, meaningful insight on the story. Many of her points appeared subtle, but had major impact on the flow of the story. It was also incredibly valuable to see her reactions as a reader while going through the manuscript. I would love to work with Christina again. I'll use this service again in the future.

Five stars all the way. I’ve gone over the feedback from Christina, and I have to say that it was far beyond what I expected in terms of how much she liked it (yay!) and how well thought out her feedback was. She was incredibly helpful. As someone who has never used a beta reader, I was a bit nervous. But Christina was thorough and insightful and knowledgeable and very fast! My manuscript is better with her advice. I’m so glad I went ahead with using Quiethouse!

5 stars. Christina is a wonderful beta reader, and her candid feedback on my manuscript was invaluable. She has a great sense of humor, and this is always helpful for me! She commented on items she enjoyed, as well as areas I might consider revising. The solid information she provided helped me determine if the story I had written was true to the one I had hoped to convey. To have a successful book, the reader must develop emotional attachments to our characters and the storyline must be compelling. Christina allowed me to see where my novel succeeded but also addressed other items I might want to change to give my story or characters more depth. I highly recommend hiring Christina to evaluate your manuscript. She will provide you with insightful feedback and suggestions that will improve your book.

5 stars. I submitted only the first three chapters of my very first attempt at writing a book. This is my memoir. Christina did an outstanding job of answering my questions. I wanted to know if my story was at all compelling and she gave me much encouragement in that area. I also wanted to know about my writing style. Christina was very helpful to me by giving me a very honest assessment of this question and gave me several great ideas as to how I can improve. She was also great at letting me know the parts of these first chapters that flowed very well and which parts seemed jumpy.

5 stars. Christina is a great beta reader. She was fast, which obviously made me happy as a writer since we always bite our nails waiting for the feedback. Her comments were insightful and her enthusiasm uplifting. I especially loved that she commented all the things that crossed her mind while reading. It was like riding her emotional journey as she read the book right alongside her. My novel is a better book thanks to Christina's help. I cannot recommend her enough.

5 stars. I appreciate the specificity of Christina's feedback. Based on her insights I will be making two notable changes to my novel as well as several more minor changes that will make the story better. I like the feedback on the worksheets as well as on Word document itself as they were complimentary and not redundant. Just what I needed at this point in my process.

5 stars. Christina's attention to detail is amazing. Not only did she thoroughly grasp the subtleties of character and plot, she even picked up a few typos that my editor missed. Her margin notes let me know what she was thinking and feeling as she read the book — invaluable feedback since writers are too close to their own material and lose perspective. Christina's review greatly exceeded my expectations; I hope she is available to review my next book!

5 stars. Christina was an enormous help in letting me know what potential readers of my book will be thinking and where that could be made stronger. She pointed out one character that I need to do some more work on to make her motivations clearer. That character may be coming across as negative in some aspects, and I don't want that to be the impression of her. So thank you, Christina, for pointing that out. I'll work on that. She also made an observation about a favorite character of hers (mine too) and what she'd like to see happen with him as the story wraps up. It's a point well taken and I plan to address that. I loved Christina's on-the-spot reactions to scenes as she read them and how they affected her emotionally. I got a feel from those reactions as to whether the scenes worked. One of my biggest concerns was if I went overboard on foreshadowing and gave away the plot twists. Christina addressed those concerns for me. I'm so happy I used Quiethouse and that Christina critiqued my book. Her responses on your Questionnaire was a far more thorough analysis than I could have ever hoped for.
